Get Set - Official Music Video
"Get Set" written by Tim Wild was Taxiride's debut single. This track was recorded at Ocean Way Studios in Los Angeles and produced by Jack Joseph Puig. Released in May 1999, the song reached the top 10 in Australia and peaked at number 41 in New Zealand. At the 1999 ARIA Music Awards, it received two nominations: 'Breakthrough Artist – Single' and 'Best Pop Release,' ultimately winning the former. Additionally, "Get Set" was featured on the soundtrack of the 1999 movie 'Election', where the character Tammy is shown listening to the song in her room. A music video for the single was also created, featuring various scenes from the film along with performances by Taxiride in a studio setting. The song was later used in a 2002 television advertisement for Village Cinemas in Australia and was featured again in 2022 for an advertisement promoting visits to Melbourne.
